This project was all about celebrating the sub-cultures that co-exist in Havana, Cuba: namely, members of the skate, heavy metal, artist and trans-gender communities. From our desk in London, we were tasked with finding a photographer who was able to work comfortably in a challenging environment, with a diverse group of talent.

To do our subjects justice, we commissioned Marcus Haney — a photographer deeply connected with music and fringe-communities in the US and someone who could breathe life into this print story.
